DedicationsDedications
If I have succeeded in any part of my life, it is because I had great friends, colleagues, teachers, mentors, and family members who criticized me, taught me, and inspired me to do better than I would otherwise.
The names in the third column of the table to the left are book dedications. To dedicate a mere book to any of these people is humbling, considering what each gave me. This is an awkward way to say thanks, but, more importantly, these dedications are recognitions of debts that cannot be repaid, but only relieved by doing for others what they did for me.
I celebrate them for their generosity of spirit, for their courage, and for the example of their lives. The books and their dedications are random, with the exception of my work dedicated to the great Yale professor Garry Brewer, who, beyond my family, has no equal in my life, and whose work underlies all that I do.
